The Africa Center of Excellence in Future Energies & Electrochemical Systems (ACE-FUELS) joined Folti Technologies Ltd. today at the official launch of eDryv, a forward-looking eMobility initiative aimed at transforming Nigeria’s transport landscape through electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure and innovation.
The launch event, held at 11 Eletu Ogabi Street, Victoria Island, Lagos, marked a pivotal moment for Nigeria’s clean transport sector. Attendees experienced live demonstrations of smart EV charging stations, the eDryv mobile application, and discussions around green urban mobility.
ACE-FUELS, led by Prof. Emeka Oguzie, was present as a strategic partner, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable energy development and innovation.

The partnership between ACE-FUELS and Folti Technologies is expected to explore synergies in the following domains:
Advanced Battery Research: Developing high-performance, locally adaptable EV batteries using materials like sodium-ion and lithium-metal phosphate.
Smart Charging Infrastructure: Enhancing the integration of renewable energy and intelligent load management systems for public and private charging stations.
Green Energy Deployment: Piloting the use of solar PV, green hydrogen, and hybrid microgrids to power charging stations.
Human Capital Development: Joint training programs, internships, and policy workshops to nurture the next generation of clean energy and mobility experts.
The eDryv initiative represents a timely response to Nigeria’s need for low-emission transport alternatives, aligning with global climate commitments and the national energy transition plan.
