ACE-FUELS Catalyzes Nigeria’s Role in STAMiNA: A Global Sodium-Ion Battery Innovation Project

Owerri, Nigeria – The Africa Centre of Excellence in Future Energy & Electrochemical Systems (ACE-FUELS) proudly announces its participation in the STAMiNA Project, a high-impact global collaboration aimed at accelerating next-generation battery innovation. Led by Swansea University and funded by the Faraday Institution (UK), this initiative aligns directly with ACE-FUELS’ Sodium-Ion Battery Technology Roadmap (2025–2030).

 

Strategic Synergy with ACE-FUELS Sodium ion Battery Roadmap

Through STAMiNA, ACE-FUELS is advancing critical national goals, including:

✅ Commercialization of sodium-ion chemistries using abundant local raw materials

✅ Establishment of local manufacturing capacity for scalable battery systems

✅ Engineering of tropical-optimized batteries for African climates

✅ Roll-out of specialized technical training in advanced battery technologies

The STAMiNA project supports Africa-centric energy goals by:
