The International Family Foundation (IFF) in collaboration with ACE-FUELS, recently held a sensitisation workshop for secondary schools in Imo State, on Energy Transition and & Renewable Technologies on the 29th – 30th November, 2024.
This is in line with ACE-FUELS mission to empower the next generation for a sustainable future.
The Centre Leader, Prof. Emeka Oguzie, stated that careers in the energy industry is not limited to engineers and scientists, but for anyone with innovative ideas that can drive energy transition. He reiterated that a commitment to protect our environmental will play a vital role in shaping the discourse around clean energy.
The workshop featured lectures and presentations from experts in the field of renewable energy, essay and quiz competitions to test participants’ knowledge of renewable energy. Other significant aspects of the workshop were the hands-on trainings on how to build a mini solar power system, as well as bio energy experiments.
