INReST is an acronym for International Network of Research Scholars and Trainees. It is an international body of all postgraduate students of ACE-FUELS across Africa, with research focus in the following areas and related disciplines:
INReST members are duly admitted postgraduate students, scholars and visiting researchers at ACE-FUELS. They conduct their research primarily at ACE-FUELS facility, at the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO), or any of the partnering research centres and institutions within and outside Nigeria, in a multidisciplinary collaboration with other scientists who co-supervise students across the globe.
To be the leading research network dedicated to the support and development of academic and professional expertise in the field of renewable and other clean energy sources, through global research partnerships.
To continuously facilitate collaboration with researchers towards sustainable development and innovation in the field of renewable and other clean energy sources, with a view to addressing the challenge of poor availability and access to energy within the African subregion.
