The management of the Technology Incubation Centre (TIC), Owerri paid a courtesy visit to the Africa Centre of Excellence in Future Energies and Electrochemical Systems (ACE-FUELS).
The Technology Incubation Centre (TIC) is an initiative of the National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI), a parastatal under the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology, which aims to develop necessary infrastructure for nurturing technology start-ups in Nigeria, promoting indigenous products through value-addition and technology-related activities.
The Director, Dr. Mrs. Gift Eze, expressed gratitude for the warm reception, and pledged to explore opportunities for collaboration and partnership with ACE-FUELS. Similarly, the Centre Leader of ACE-FUELS, Prof. Emeka Oguzie, reiterated his enthusiasm to partner with TIC in developing local competencies through work-based learning opportunities such as internships, as well as commercialisation research outputs.
The visit included a productive round-table meeting, a tour of ACE-FUELS’ state-of-the-art facilities, and a showcase of its advanced general purpose research laboratory equipment.
We look forward to fostering a strong and productive partnership with TIC.
