The Africa Centre of Excellence in Future Energies and Electrochemical Systems (ACE-FUELS), on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, joined the rest of the world in commemorating World Environment Day.

World Environment Day is a global platform for inspiring positive change. It puts the spotlight on the pressing environmental challenges and has become the largest campaign for environmental protection, since its inception in 1973.

This year’s World Environment Day campaign focussed on land restoration, desertification and drought resilience under the slogan “Our land. Our future. We are #GenerationRestoration.”

Thanks to the Centre Leader, Prof. Emeka Oguzie, the organizers, panel discussants, volunteers, and attendees for contributing to the success of the event.
