We are excited to announce that our Centre Leader, Prof. Emeka Oguzie, has been appointed as the Battery Ambassador of Nigeria by the Faraday Institution, UK.
The Faraday Institution is the UK’s independent institute for electrochemical energy storage research, skills development, market analysis, and early-stage commercialisation.
Headquartered at the Harwell Science and Innovation Campus, the Faraday Institution brings together expertise from universities and industry, and endeavours to make the UK the go-to place for the research and development of new electrical storage technologies for both the automotive and wider relevant sectors.
Our Centre Leader, Prof. Oguzie, having distinguished himself globally in the field of electrochemical technology, has once again put ACE-FUELS, FUTO and Nigeria on the map.
We are confident that Prof. Oguzie will network with the UK battery community, forge beneficial partnerships, champion battery technology widely, and build a network of battery specialists and innovators in Nigeria, to achieve his vision of a “Battery for Africa” project, that will cater for the peculiar energy storage needs of Africa.
Congratulations, Prof!..👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
