BRIEF BIO
Dr. Charles Orji is an Associate Professor of Chemistry at Nasarawa State University, Keffi, Nasarawa State. He earned his BSc degree in Industrial Chemistry from the University of Benin, Benin City, and Ph.D. from Baylor University, Waco, Texas, USA, specializing in Organic Synthesis and Medicinal Chemistry. Dr Orji completed postdoctoral training at Los
Alamos National Laboratory, Los Alamos, New Mexico, USA, where his research centered on chemo-enzymatic synthesis of stable isotope-labelled biomolecules. After his postdoctoral work, he founded Paradigm Organics, LLC, a North Carolina-based company offering custom synthesis and research services to pharmaceutical and biotechnology
firms, as well as research institutes. During this time, he also served as an adjunct professor in the Department of Chemistry, North Carolina State University, teaching Organic Chemistry Courses. In addition to his academic and entrepreneurial roles, Dr. Orji maintains active consultancy positions both within and outside Nigeria.
